yeah, 3 times but not including half time which is a free time to make a sub. In reality someone can save them up and make 2 subs in injury time just like today to time waste. in extreme circumstance i suppose they could try make 3 individual subs in injury time to totally mess around but they'd have to know they had 6 or 7mins to break up. IMO the authorities have thought 2 subs, 2 more subs, final sub for injury. In theory no different from 1 sub on 60mins 1 on 80mins 1 in injury time which is quite common today.
