Can definitely see that one happening, its not looking good for Jose and Joeys contracts at the minute.

 

I think they'll be dealt with in the summer to be honest.

Enrique said he'd sign if we were safe. We will be so there is no reasoning behind a move away if he's happy to sign.

Barton still has time left on his contract and I can't see why he'd want away. He's playing well, the fans are with him and not against him, he's been supported by the club itself and he sounds happy as long as there is investment in the squad.

Even bringing in just a few decent acquisitions to bolster the squad shows intent to improve.

I'm not worried.

 

I think its just the sheer length of time time Barton has take sign a new deal, Pardew came out ages and said that Barton was all but ready to sign, and now a month or so later theres nothing being mentioned, and I can see Enrique leaving in a big money deal to play champs league football, I hope not mind.

I liked the idea i saw somebody post not long ago about spending that money on cloning Tiote 5 times... money much better spent me thinks, imagine a team full of tiotes.

Two words: Steven Taylor.

How long did he take to sign? We even transfer listed him, reckon it's probably just Ashley & the agents both trying to play hard ball.

 

The problem with Enrique is, there is talk of a fair few Champions League teams being interested, so he could be swayed. I hope not though!

 

He was transfer listed under Chris Hughton, as soon as Pardew came in he signed a new deal. Taylor isnt as important as Barton and Enrique aswell.

 

That's assuming that they are actually interested though and it's not just media hoo-har.
I suppose we will have to wait and see who is right and what happens!

Better than Willow IMO. Though keep Willow in at the moment, good run of form and that.

 

I remember watching it thinking 'WTF' as a few lads in the bar next to me just chuckled.

 

I can't decide who's better out of Willo and Tayls, which is a good thing, because they are both solid centre backs. However I am pleasantly surprised at how good Colo has been this season, he looks amazing, and well worth the money spent. In my opinion this goes to show that we have had many flops but if you give them a chance and let them settle they will do well. A good example of this is Viana, who I think, if started more regularly, would have made it. Sadly for him our midfield was class back then and we didn't have the time to develop him to reach his potential.
