Doesnt look good fro the club then really Zingy. Fans not interested in half your players, players not even trying when theres an FA cup final coming up.

I wonder what its like for fans of clubs like Wolves and Blackburn then who lets be honest are beyond dire. Blackburns 16 fans turn up every week to watch their dross, they never sell out as its Blackburn but they tend to have fairly level attendances.

Nah, everyone wants to see United, regardless of who is on the pitch. Once knew another club like that...

And your players tried during your City game? Well, I guess they did, It takes a lot of effort to maintain a 10-0 formation

We tried of course, they scored a goal from a mistake. Otherwise they had the ball alot but nothing much came from it. Wasnt the best of games tbh, we were poor, they were better. Such is the way at times.

Think it happened once before. We still had more people watch us than anyone else in the land. Its pretty likely the same would happen today.

That's where you're 100% wrong. The modern prawn sandwich muncher is a world away from the sort of fans you filled the ground with back then lad <ok> if you go to the games you'll know that's true of all the big teams bar a few that have kept their prices reasonable.

Maybe the day trippers would go but then what of the fans who dont get the chance to go today because of them? They would suddenly find they have tickets for games and as one sort of fan leaves, another takes his place.

We have 300million fans around the world, 6+million in the UK, even if 90% went to other clubs do you think we would struggle to fill our ground.

Let me ask, if Liverpool were relegated do you think you could fill your ground in the Championship? or at least match Leeds and Forest?

Liverpool were getting sub 40k crowds like 38k under Roy and Kenny last season. Under capacity regularly.

35400 v Bolton for a Saturday match on New year's Day and then 5,000 empty seats v Fulham and Stoke once Dalglish had returned.

In 2008/9 Liverpool had 41k v West Ham. A match they had to win to go top.

Chelsea have not had a sub 40k attendance for a premiership match for 11 years.

Guess that's why the FA have given Chelsea a 1,000 extra tickets and Liverpool just 200 extra for the final.

A good number of Liverpool tickets are sold between fans. Whenever I go, I get tickets off the same guy. He has a season ticket and always has 4 spare for every match, which he sells on.
Assuming there are a few hundred like him, it's not a surprise that there were 3k empty seats. I certainly had no interest in going last night, so I can't imagine he sold all 4 of his tickets.

That's the same at every club. The tickets were available from the club too

So based on the fact they get 40k supporters every game, they have more fans?
Didn't realise that every fan goes to every game.

I think he meant a higher gate but even so, it shouldnt mean they get more final tickets. If that were the case then us and Arsenal would want much more than other clubs closely followed by Newcastle......

You do him too much justice. He genuinely seems to think Chelsea have more fans based on their average gate.
And I agree, they shouldn't get more tickets for the final.

    Sunderland 0-15 Man Utd ( Rooney, O'Shea OG x 5, Brown OG x 5, Bardsley OG x 2 Richardson OG x 2 )

You've left out the 4 dubious penalties and outrageous sendings-off in that scoresheet.
