Have you noticed Torres, Drogba and Anelka haven't played together this season? The new Chelsea manager came in and said he was playing 4-3-3 with fluent attacking football. Yet Malouda and Kalou started the first PL game, and Malouda started the 2nd game (not sure who started on the right against WBA) Fact is, a 4-3-3 is played with wingers, they still have defensive work... Barcelona are slightly different, they try to win the ball back in the opponents half all of the time, so Villa playing on the left doesn't have to track back to help the left back out, add to the fact they have the ball most of the game anyway.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with. 4-3-3 is usally played with 2 wingers and a striker. 4-5-1, you guessed it, also 2 wingers and a striker.

We cannot afford in this league 2 play 3 outright strikers anyway, 3 people with no defensive responsibilities will not work... They'll just leave the midfield with too much work to do and we'll get over run. Might score a few more goals but we'll end up going down.

    Real Madrid - 4-2-3-1 (1 up front)
Barcelona - 4-3-3 But they only have 1 striker on the pitch - Villa. Messi is not a striker and doesn't play like a striker. Pedro isn't a striker either.
    Chelsea - 1 striker
    Arsenal - 1 striker
Man City - 1 striker (Aguero played alot deeper than Dzeko on Sunday)
Championshiplast season - Count out Norwich because they had all the momentum from the season before which is why they went up(Just like Southampton and Brighton will or almost will) QPR and Swansea, 2 teams similar to us at the time... Both played with 1 striker.

There is nothing wrong with 1 striker when it is done properly.

I don't see why you have to be sarcastic about it? This is a football forum, can we not express opinions properly or is this just a 'write 1 sentence' type of forum?

Just because I call someone idiotic it doesn't mean i'm not being constructive. If I wrote an essay on Shakespeare but somewhere along the line i said "Romeo is an idiot" Would that all of a sudden not make it an essay?

I don't expect anyone to reply to my post up there anyway, I posted one of a similar length and it was ignored.

My thoughts exactly, Rosenior would make the perfect wing back.

James <= This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

    i never said they didnt.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

i dont expect us to play with three forwards. i dont expect us to play 4-3-3 either. i expect us to play with two players who are supposed to have the capabiility to stick the ball in the net and give the other teams defenders someone to worry about.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

funny how its always real madrid or chel$ea or man utd or barthelona who get quoted at us isnt it. nobody every comes on and tells us how brilliantly stockport or peterborough or derby or north ferriby have done with one striker. i expect even we might get more than one goal a month with drogba up front. but hey guess what we dont have drogba up front.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

phil brown relegated us with 4-5-1 the season after time not playing 4-5-1 got us exactly enuogh points to stay up.

This is the sort of **** that I have to put up with.

ive always been a 4-4-2 fan,..but as we seem to have nobody who can beat a 1st man with a cross,...id rather we moved to a 4-3-3...or the 4-3-1-2 ive posted elsewhere, to at least get koren and cairney playing centrally..
