Don't know where to get the data. Weren't Sunderland's average attendances 15,000 or something that season? So the original poster is being a bit hypocritical having a go at Newcastle fans for having poor attendances in the 80s when Sunderland were no different themselves.

That's Sunderland fans for ya, when they beat us 2-1 at St James 2 years running, they were singing 'we beat the scum 2-1' 5 years after the games.
 
Oh no hate Sunderland moved over when I was 16, originally lived in Prudhoe

I used to go to a chippy in Prudhoe when I was a kid and my folks used to go gliding at Hedley (Currock Hill) they did great beanies, can't get beanies down south. Do they still do them back home?

Never had one, yes I seem to remember there being a decent chippy in Prudhoe.
