There are a fair few things wrong with us at the moment but none of them are what you said. Firstly, Coates is a great young player and a regular current international for Uruguay. Secondly Lucas could absolutely never be described as a player who is 'bullied way too easily'. Finally we have an out and out goalscorer in Suarez who leads the line tremendously, what we need are players who can contribute to the goals tally from the wing and midfield.

    Bizarre comment.

LS has scored a few goals this season but to class him as an out and out goalscorer means you will be left behind if that is what you rely on.

  3. Suarez is not a striker, goal poacher or an out-and-out goal scorer. Luis is an excellent forward but he is as far from being a natural goalscorer as Jamie Carragher!

What is your definition of an 'out and out goalscorer'? Because I thought it was a term used to describe someone who scores lots of goals, someone like Luis Suarez. Does anyone seriously think we can attract a player anywhere near as prolific on a (probable) small budget whilst we're languishing in mid-table?

Why look for problems where there are none. Sort out the wings and bring in a playmaker and I honestly think we could well be ready for a top-4 challenge.

I have some sympathy for you argument (sympathy post <ok>) to be fair. Although I would disagree that Suarez is a typical goalscorer; you could equally argue that until he is playing in a side with other creative players it is almost impossible to really judge him or categorize him. In his time with us he has almost single handedly been the inspiration, fight, creativity, spark etc... put him in a side like Chelsea at the minute and then you can judge his goalscoring ability.

What are you on? Carragher has scored plenty of goals. Against us <yikes>
