dont be surprised if english FA tries to scrap to premiership and EFL league from finishing , after a disastrous trial of trying to scrap the season , the FA have finally come round to the idea of finishing the season and of course leeds uniteds promotion LOL
So whats your thoughts on the remaining fixtures list , how many we need to win ?, how many points needed or any other ideas that will get leeds utd over the finishing line AT LAST AFTER 15 LONG AND TORTUROUS YEARS !! BACK TO THE PROMISED LAND WHERE LEEDS UNITED BELONG !! As the saying goes THE CREAM WILL ALWAYS RISE TO THE TOP !!

Won’t matter, we’ll still be promoted by default as a bunch of pl teams will fold up anyway

As only 6 teams in pl showed a profit for 2018-2019 and that was with full tv revenues, who knows what will happen next season maybe without a chunk of tv cash and stadium capacities reduced by 90%

The Premier League is owned by its 20 member clubs.
It has a £1.5billion reserve fund.

If they are in trouble, they could put their players on furlough and ask for their £75M share. Every other club will fold before ANY PL team does!!!

leeds wont fold then as we are a premier league club now just need FA to say season finished and top club goes up as champions and 2nd in automatic place which means leeds utd and WBA will be promoted

Are we drawing a team out to be promoted from the playoffs? Would you also scrap relegation from the Premier League in the 2019/20 season?

Not as straight forward as that.
Ultimately, the Premiership clubs will have to vote for any changes and 14 votes are needed.

If they are given the option of voiding the season, the fate of Leeds could very well be decided by Manchester Utd's vote :emoticon-0107-sweat

The 8 bottom teams Newcastle, Southampton, Brighton, West Ham, Watford, Bournemouth, Villa and Norwich would almost certainly vote for voiding as they could all still go down.
Man City would probably vote void too as they would retain the trophy.
Arsenal sitting in 9th would also vote void as they would retain their European spot.
Same with Spurs and Chelsea as they'd retain their Champions League place.

Liverpool would obviously vote against a void season, as would Wolves, Sheff U and Burnley who are chasing a European spot. Leicester too as they are in a Champions League spot.
You could argue that Palace have an outside chance of a Europa League spot, so may vote against.

    So far that's 12 v 6

Everton would vote void just so Liverpool don't win the title

    13 v 6

Leaving 4th placed Man U with the deciding vote.

Yes I have got too much time on my hands

Lawyers would have a field day if the league is voided, probably preventing the start of the next one. Also would the clubs have to refund all those that attended matches up to the point the season 'never happened'? Would the clubs want their players to forfeit a portion of their wages if the season is not completed and deemed never to have started? It was the German FA that proposed to UEFA and the leading European football nations the idea that the leagues are 'declared', but no team are relegated and the top two from each division being promoted withe the numbers being reduced with additional relegations over the next one or two seasons. Lawyers would have field day with that as well so the only way it can work is to complete this and delay the start of next season. The Qatar world cup is going to **** up all leagues anyway so this seems fairest to all, though I completely accept the players contract situation is complicated.

Have to agree, only winners will be the lawyers, as per usual in a dispute

If the FA decide the season is finished now the 2 automatic places in championship should be promoted in their present position LEEDS UNITED as champions and WBA as runners up , the playoffs should be scrapped this year as if the season finishes now there is no knowing who would win out of the play offs as it is now . relegation from the premier league is a different scenario as the financial costs can be huge , so the premier league should be enlarged with no relegation this season , and the 2 promoted teams from the championship would make the premiership 22 teams next season , next season if the virus situation is still ongoing till october then games should be played behind closed doors with live TV screening for the fans until october then if its safe for fans , all fans immune from the virus should be able to go to games after being tested and having negative results to be produced before getting tickets , but grounds should be half full with social distancing , and at end of next season 5 teams to be relegated from premier league and 3 teams coming up from championship or they could have 4 teams relegated and 2 automatic places coming up and no play offs again next season in championship

sorry you have got it wrong MAN UTD ARE 5TH so would vote against voiding the season as they still have a chance of finishing in the top 4 , unless i have got it wrong and 5th place this season qualifies for the champions league with man city not competing with spending too much

I was going to say it would get even more complicated if we were trying to relegate the bottom 3 on current standings given Villa have a game in hand, knowing a win would push them to 16th!

Going to be interesting how other European countries manage it and reckon UEFA and their competitions will have a massive influence on what happens.

What the other leagues do is irrelevant.
ANY changes to the rules of the EPL have to be agreed by a majority of 8 (14 votes).

Genuine question, is voiding the Premier League season part of the existing rules or will that require a vote as well?

Can't really envisage new UEFA competitions starting anytime soon or even the old ones finishing, but one thing is for sure it will be a logistical nightmare when timeframes and even approaches could differ so much between countries.

thats why i say that relegation from premier league should not happen this season even though i would love villa to get relegated after the cheating they did to get up to premier league especially john terry teaching them to cheat in some of his tactics and grealish falling as soon as he is touched . sorting out the championship should be more easy as the top 2 auto places should be promoted , play offs should not happen . plus already belguim league announced the top team is champions even though league matches are not finished , ALSO seria A italys premier league is looking at finishing the season by completing the games , and i bet they do it behind closed doors , but UK premier league , championship and other EFL leagues could be finished behind closed doors but i dont trust FA who hate leeds and after this latest move to scottish FA trying to bully them into their way it proves it

changes can be done easily by clubs who want to look after their own interests NOT LEEDS UTD INTERESTS , look what happened on leeds utd getting 15 points deducted at start of season in previous seasons the vote went out to teams that did not want leeds at top or near top of league and they voted against leeds , its not right ! if you want it to be right and a fair contest then ALL LEAGUE GAMES SHOULD BE FINISHED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WITH LIVE TV FOR THE FANS !
