Jones is 22. Much younger. Hes also been our best defender when hes played. Hes still at an age where injuries are common. Give him two years to prove his fitness and quality.

At 24/5 we should see jones as tye player he will be. If hes still dickering like smalling then fire him out of old trafford on a catapult. If he reaches his potential we have a player on our hands.

I dont think lvg rates evans at all. His experience of him is entirely negative. Hes shown nothing to say, im your man, to lvg.

Shame as i agree, hes a good defender. A gary cahill type. Often under appreciated but very good at his job.... Usually.

Not when he was managing in Spain. The strength in depth during his times there was as good as anything we have now in the prem. Imagine he had rio and vidic in their pomp, do you think he would be having the same difficulty?

Moyes had a team of champions. Lvg had what moyes had destroyed.

    You cannot compare tge two.

    Why are you imagining?

Rio and Vidic were finished last year too, Vidic was a mere shadow of his former self, Moyes did not have those players at anywhere near their best, Evra too.

Moyes just got scapegoated, plain and simple, the reason he was not tolerated is because of his lack of a successful CV due to being at a club that had tight purse strings during his entire tenure. So there was no confidence, the effect Martinez had with Everton went further to make Moyes look a lesser manager but Moyes didn't have some of the players at their level that Martinez had and well, look at Everton now, Moyes got Everton to as high a place with lesser squads

I sincerely doubt that United would be sitting in 10th had Moyes carried on and had a summer of spending.

We would be lower. Much lower.

Where would liverpool be if you had stuck with hodgeson or dalglish? League one?

I was talking about LVG. Imagine LVG had Rio and Vidic when they were good, playing right now. Would LVG still be struggling? I seriously doubt it.

Your view is not based in logic sorry, last season the 4th place competition teams were performing better, Liverpool were better so was City Everton Spurs Arsenal. All excent Chelsea
Yet United were higher up the table.

Btw Sisu I was one who was not calling for Moyes head if you look back at my posts. I always believe in backing the manager. But we are in a better position now with LVG. Who knows where we'd be now with Moyes, maybe good maybe worse but we are where we are and it is better so you can only go by that.

The season has a long way to go Sisu. But three very possibles will happen

    1. United will finish higher than Liverpool, even making the top 4
    2. LVG will still be in charge of United
    3. If Brenda continues with his awful style of football, results will pave the way for the Yanks giving him his P45
