I'm still learning. Who should Pardew have used?
(And a bit off the track -- should he have taken Jonas off after he got so rattled by the yellow card incident? I was so scared Jonas would lose it, do something rash and get another yellow... ) :emoticon-0107-sweat

I wouldnt have started in the first place.
At Villa I would have been tempted to play 4-3-3 with Ober and Gouff off Cisse.

Jonas has had his day, been a good servant but just hasn't got it now. I think Pards must have a soft spot for him.

Am I the only one that thinks starting Taylor over mbiwa made perfect sense ? He's big enough too cope with Benteke. Also we needed a couple of battlers tonight and perch never let's Anyone down !

Look at it this way, we would of lost that game a few weeks ago. The new lads won't settle fully for a while yet but sissoko is the real deal. He has the potential o be one of the best signings we have made at this club for a long time. Still can't believe we got him. With HBA comin back in a couple of weeks our first 11 and bench are gettin stronger. Next 2 games are tough on paper but if we can get sissoko and cabaye workin in that engine room for 90 mins of a football match then we will make ourselves hard to beat.

Starting taylor was definitely the way to go for now. Centre half is one of the hardest places to just drop an new player into. Ease mbiwa in Is the way to do It. Also, taylor has a goal threat from
Corners. Considering how we played the first half, hard to argue against the team selection.

Thought Sissoko had a great game considering he hasn't had much time to settle in and get to know his team mates. Expecting great things from him and he's bound to be a crowd pleaser. MA will no doubt get a lot of his cash back from #7 shirt deals.

Such a delicious irony for you guys. I thought he was deeply unpopular on Wearside now, would you even want him? He's ****ing useless these days, looked like he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo in the game today.

First thing! Mbiwa had an incredible goal-saving block at the end! He literally covered 5 metres of ground in half a second to block Clark's shot! That's a great sign of a defender who puts his body on the line.

On hindsight, escaping with 3 pts after that 2nd half seemed a coup. But really, Willo on the bench(must've been afraid to hurt his feelings dropping him from starter to discard within a game), instead of an attacking player or something is horrible...
