IMO and its been said on another forum but its true the longer players are out the better they seem to become looking at the 3players Gordon - On his day is a fine, fine shot stopper and the best keeper at the club but he has came in for a lot of stick, games when you need to be brave as a goalkeeper sometimes he realy disappoints, stoke away for example Meyler - According to wiki has played 15games for the club, has had a couple of good games but has also had a few average games, for me I just hope he isn't being hyped up to fail, decent player but overrated. Campbell - Was looking decent towards the end of Brucie's first season, can play on the right of midfield or upfront. Was starting to show some promise in pre-season when he scored all them goals I just hope this injury has not ruined him. You see with bad injuries sometimes it results in that the player loses half a yard/a yard of pace, if that happens to Fraizer its a shame as his pace is a big plus to his game.
Campbell wont be able to play a full game until next season IMO - though he hasnt proven himself at premier league level yet (even though he had a damn good pre-season before he was injured) Meyler: I think he has what it takes to keep Catts out of the starting 11, but so do Vaughan and Gardner. Colback will also prove to be better than catts in the long run imo. Gordon: I would love to see him back - but it will take him a few games to get up to speed again: he was looking great when he had a decent defence in front of him (Brown, Oshea will be central to that)
I hope Campbell does a Cisse and comes back just as good, but it is worrying, I always thought there was more to Campbells game than just pace so even if he loses a little he could compensate for it by changing his game slightly.
I fear your prediction to be correct, have thought this for many months now, shame for the lad, just hope [ although I believe ] that the insurance is in place, but money versus your dream, a bad and hard call, but everything I have is crossed for young Campbell.
