    I didn't look at the link and I'm CERTAIN we are the lowest scorers in the WHOLE football League... a total and utter disgrace. Someone should shove those stats through his office door. PATHETIC.

    Hmm, in the unlikely event of anybody being remotely interested, check out my posts over the last 3 seasons/years!!

    Everything on this thread backs up what I have been consistently saying with mostly abuse as a response.

    I'm obviously not a Stokie eh!

    Oh, I agree it's poor, but it's not a disaster.

    Potter,
    You are the eternal optimist - we will likely finish the season with 1 point more than Wigan, and if Bolton beat us, they will have won the same number of games as we have, and just survived.Thus we will have attained our lowest ever points total, lowest finishing position and of course our lowest goals scored.
    You are right, stats can prove anything - ours just happen to point conclusively to a downward spiral.

    No you are right, it is not a diaster - YET. If we are honest, we know that we have been flattered by several poor performing teams or clubs in crisis since our promotion and this has always flattered the gap to the relegation zone! If we just look at this year alone;

    Wolves capitulation was unforseen, and whilst they have never set the world alight in past years they have always been competitive. Matbe the premier league progress caught up with them, something is quite possible to us.
    Blackburn were never the same after they fooked off Big Sam. Keen has been a diaster and with a decent manger they would have easily have acculimiated another 10 points, performacnes like Man U away were no flash in the pan - they are capable side. They have just been demoralised by their manager, crowd and owners.
    Wigan were VERY unfortunate in the early stages of the season and didnt pick up the results they deserved, but thats football. Martinez stuck by HIS percentages and continued to play football, with passion, pride and heart, 6 wins in the last 8 says it all! They are not championship fodder and are likely to finish very close to us!
    QPR are a classic 1st year prem team that think beyind their means! Change of manager, and 6 or 8 mew players in January was never a reciepe for sucess!
    Bolton again have massively underperformed but have spent little money whilst losing to very influential players in Mat Taylor and Cahill!

    There will always be scenarios that mean teams are not always at their natural position, but we have been fortunate in other clubs misfortune!
