I did my degree in Marine Biology. I'd didn't have ANY experience of qualifications in engineering or oil & gas before I got my job. I just paid the ã660 for the Offshore ticket and ã70 for a medical. It saves them about ã2-3k if you pay that yourself so they're usually willing to give you a trial for a few months. Wood Group, Amec, kVa, KCA Deutag are pretty big players for electrical offshore but you're as well searching OilCareers.com and oilandgaspeople.com I'll pm you a copy of a standard offshore CV that was made up by the boy who runs the second website. His pal was in my cabin last year.
I'll speak to you later Venom, I've got a golf game on now. On another note, if you know any SOMO registered refineries that are wanting Basra Light, I'll cut you in the deal and you won't have to work for years!
Nah, but there are companies who do fittings for accomodation modules. Like North Offshore. If you've got experience in the building trade it all transfers over. Basically they're looking for competent ****s who don't mind getting stuck on a metal ****hole for 2-3 weeks at a time.
