I thought Rodgers should have showed us he had the balls to take Gerrard off. Would have gone way up in my estimation then, regardless of the result.
You will have next season let alone this season of just surviving the premiership before Brendan can fully achieve what he and your owners have agreed on.....He has to deliver and he has a minimum of three seasons unless your owners sell to someone else...he is there for the full term....Joe allen is a start of the type of player the others must learn from...time ladies and gentlemen he needs time...
The most worrying thing is we cant score from open play ! Forget about only having two recognised strikers, we don't have one recognised finisher ! We knew it wasn't going to happen overnight but damn, its going to be a long season until January. Is there another Forward line in the Premiership that is worse off than Liverpool right now ? Reading, arguably Southampton & possibly Aston Villa ! After that I´d take most other teams Strikers over ours.
Letting Carroll go to play for the porn barons was baffling.He is quite clearly the best forward you had by some distance.
it doesn't really account for the lack of penetration at the other end though. Not saying you are wrong but, 7 goals conceded and only 2 scored as well as struggling against a poor Hearts team! Suggest whilst defensively we are making huge mistakes it's only half the story.
It's not the best start but look at Arsenal last year!.......... they had Van Persie to pull them out of the hole.
Where can we get those goals from? We were supposed to be working towards a push for top 4/6 but now we have less fire power than most mid table, heck even relegation fighting teams. It looks like we are going to be scoring less than everyone else whilst creating the most chances...again.
