England require 78 to win and clinch the series. Great effort by SL to get there, but it'll be over tonight. Only question is, will Cook get five runs or more?
One of only six batsmen to get to 10,000 test runs, the youngest, the quickest (in terms of deliveries) and the most runs scored whilst England captain.
Six and out doesn't make for great players. He may not be the most exciting batsman but you can't deny his ability...
Piers Morgan, unsurprisingly, has labelled Cook 'the youngest batsman to deny the youngest batsman the opportunity to reach 10,000 test runs'. Still prattling on about his bum-chum KP...
I know which of the two I would prefer to watch. Graham Gooch, in support of Cook, quoted the other day the old cricketing maxim 'It's not how, it's how many'. Not for me, mate. I much preferred to watch David Gower than you.
I'm not being insulting. You should try it sometime. You'll be amazed how many people you won't piss off that way.
No clue what your issue is. I list Cook's achievements. I say he is not the most exciting player but his ability is beyond question. I mention that cricket fans are applauding him. I say nothing insulting towards you or anyone. Then you call me a "pompous prick" for no reason at all. You need to think before you post, stop with unwarranted insults, and calm down.
