It is my belief that we will be subject to the 25-man squad rule for Prem teams next seson.

Therefore, If I were PL I'd maybe looking along these lines...

GK - Rudd
GK - Ruddy
GK - A N Other (Green? Cudacini? Hahnemann? Somebody of that ilk anyway)

RB - R Martin
RB - A N Other (suggestions?)

CB - Whitbread
CB - Ward
CB - Barnett
CB - A N Other (Chambers?)

LB - Tierney
LB - Drury

M - Fox
M - Surman
M - Hoolahan
M - Crofts
M - McNamee
M - Lappin
M - (Johnson? Looks to be a done deal)
M - (Bennett? Also looks to be a done deal)
M - (Snodgrass? - Please!)

F - Holt
F - Jackson
F - Vaughan
F - Morrison
F - (CMS? Would love us to get him! If not, then C Martin.)

Any current Norwich players not listed above would need to be either sold or loaned out but with re-calls.

PL said he was looking for 7 players. I have listed 8 or 9 (depending on CMS or Chrissy Martin) positions above that I would like to see filled.

I do hope though, that this is quite representative of our starting squad as I see it as nicely balanced with good players in every position. Fingers crossed eh? :)

Am I right in thinking any player under the age of 21 before the season starts isn't required to be registered?

Just looked it up.

A team can supplement its squad with an unlimited number of players under the age of 21.

That means Rudd, Adeyemi, Korey Smith, Daley, Francomb, Steer, Ball and Dawkin will all be eligible without requiring registration. Particuarlly god for Rudd, Smith and Francomb as they're realistically the ones who will be most likely to play.

Wikipedia makes Bennett 22, which is a shame, but Pacheco would be young enough, as would Lansbury.

I know that lambert highly rates francomb so i expect him as 2nd RB, centre defence is the one thats bugging me, i really dont know who he will go for! I know man u have got a few spare CB's, they have 7 atm, im sure we could take one off there hands for a season!?

Im still hoping that we get a BIG signing, to our standards anyway, someone who will make that extra difference for us!

You asked for suggestions for RB- I think Jonathon Spector (West Ham) would fit the gap perfectly! Good enough to genuinely improve the starting XI, versatile enough to play elsewhere and leave R Martin a chance for a regular(ish) place. Also has premier league experience.

Much as I would love Snodgrass to come I don't think PL will be willing to be held to ransom on him. Wouldn't be a headline grabber but David Jones (free agent released by Wolves) would be a quality signing and strengthen the defensive ability of our midfield group. He successfully fought against relegation twice and Mick McCarthy says he quietly played a very big part in their last two seasons.
