Not often that I get to brag about sports (QPR win feck all) but proud of the Seahawks last night lifting the 60th Super Bowl trophy.

The Dark Side ran the game in what some critics are calling a master class of defensive play.

I'm not about to say this is the start of a dynasty or anything, just glad that the game was won fair and square.

Way back when Channel 4 started showing NFL matches I randomly picked the Miami Dolphins featuring wonder kid Dan Marino who proceeded to go straight to the Super Bowl only to lose out to Joe Montana's 49ers. I decided not to stick with the Dolphins in case I was tarred with some sort of glory seeker brush so the next season I picked the Seahawks who at that stage had won diddly squat. Mostly my choice was based on their logo as Northwest Tribal tattoos were all the rage. Also they signed Brian 'The Boz' Bosworth and during his time Seattle won their first divisional title, he might have turned into a figure of fun for many Seahawks fans but I liked his attitude. And his mullet!

Odd way to pick a team but I stuck with it and we now have 2-2 record at the Super Bowl.

Mentions need to go to DK Metcalf, Geno Smith and Coach Pete Carroll too. I know they haven't had the best of seasons since leaving the Seahawks but they laid the foundations for what the team has become. The 12's salute you!
