Is Endo playing cb rather than grav? Sounds like Szobo being much better in that deeper role looking forward rather than in the 10 in those half spaces. Hopefully with Frimpong/Bradley energy at RB won’t miss his running in that 10 having to cover the right hand side so much either.
Yes endo is lcb. Yes as I said in may when we signed wirtz, Szoboszlai is playing very well facing goal. Bilbao can't get out with the two when thry are on them
Yeah Szob is very good at drifting away from his marker before a turnover and he is free to receive the ball and drive. Like it
Be interesting to see how line up when Grav is back after Bournemouth. Most seem to think will be Szobo on the bench with Mac and Grav but do lose a bit of energy in there without him. Grav and Mac are a bit one paced. Nice problem to have and be able to rotate Mac though so isn’t worn out playing 70 games a season, especially after long trips back from S America n
