In all seriousness looking at the Tory candidates I’m changing my mind, they are all shifty, maybe we should have a GE and elect Labour, at least we’d have a Party with honest politicians, and who were competent enough to stick within lock down rules.

    I thought you’d enjoy that

THEY ARE LIKELY to make round 1 36 votes [ talkabout moving the posts to accomodate the sly and tricky ] pity we cant do that at football team losing can change the rules ... like winning team at half time must stay in own half and only 2 players allowed in attacking half for the second half .......

Reminds me of City v Coventry all those years ago, we both stayed in Div 1, I think it was Sunderland who went down, not sure though

    no reply yet!

bring it on KS .. .. no confidence vote ... lets have an early GE in middle of the holidays when the voting could be less than anytime before .....

It will be sad should Rishi gets in .. a bit like GB ended in disaster .... Bravella would be the one .. sort out the spongers!

I imagine labour calling for a GE is to try to force Boris out immediately, rather than hanging on till September. I agree he should be gone, but I’m unsure about the tactics.

It’s just nuisance tactics - to keep the pressure up.
Perfectly valid - and the Tories would do the same if the boot was on the other foot.

Why? Labour won't have a hope in hell......what a waste of money and time, which should be spent on the policies the Tories were elected for (just a few years ago).
    Still blinkered then?? Just saying!!
Should the Scots have another vote now as well, while we're at it?
Do you think we should just keep voting until you get what you want?

    Crazy world!!

Do you not think if the tables were turned the Tories wouldn’t be employing the same tactics?, of course they would.

Probably, especially after such a poor campaign and result the last time around!!
But I also think the Tories would be intelligent enough to know, when they wouldn't stand a chance of winning it..
Having said all that, I maintain, they are all as bad as each other..........................But the current Labour party wouldn't win a one ticket raffle as it stands!! <laugh>

they are not stopping the vote, please re read the reasoning behind it ... they asked for PARLIAMENT TO HAVE ANOTHER VOTE on Boris who has already resigned. They have been invited to re submit but doing it properly ......

So if they aren’t stopping the vote, how can they re submit it? , that doesn’t make sense, they’ve stopped it.

Unlike you I work, I’m not retired with time on my hands and have better things to do. The article clearly said they had rejected labour’s proposal, and went on to explain the grounds. If you can’t see that then I’m wasting my time tbh
