Forget party politics it’s more important to stabilise things for everyone. There is no way back for the Tory’s now, a GE is the only way to stabilise things, otherwise we’ll just keep lurching from one crisis to the next. In my lifetime I’ve never seen anything like this from any government, regardless of their colour.

According to GMB everything that has happened Sunak said would happen when she gets in. So I agree with you he must be feeling very smug at the moment.
Someone also said she is losing so much trust that she may call a GE. It’s like watching career suicide

It’s effing Boris’s fault that we’re in this position
I think Redprintt summed him up many months ago in one word which is absolutely perfect

Boris must be pissing himself laughing..
The sad thing is, none of the opposition are worthy to elect in to make things better..

So after fooling the stupid Tory MPs into voting her in as PM over Sunak, by promising low taxation and fast growth, we are, now that the economy has nosedived (like Sunak predicted) - implementing Sunak’s proposed policies.
Isn’t that fraud of some sort? Getting elected by promising something to beat your rival, then using his policies once your own, that you used to beat him, failed?
What a way to run a country.

I think you'll find the majority of MP's wanted Sunak.
It was the blue rinse brigade that gave us Truss............ and ultimately Starmer.

I didn’t know this RP - in that case our system is even more stupid than I thought - the preferred candidate loses out to the second-placed.
Stands to reason I suppose - considering under our First past the Post General Electoral system it’s possible for a party to win whilst the party that polled more votes come last (if the Lib Dems come a close second in every constituency for example).
In fact, I believe this happened in the 1982 GE(?)

So the truth is coming out now and it’s just as I expected.
If true then Liz Trust must be the bitch boss of the century:

Kwasi Kwarteng was 'bounced' into 45p tax fiasco by Liz Truss

As I understand it the majority of MP's wanted Sunak (as RP said) the majority of the Conservative membership regarded him as a backstabber and voted for Truss, now a group of MP's, no doubt the ones that caused Johnson to resign are after Truss, which ever way you look at it is's a shambles, we could end up with the deadly triolgy Labour, Lib Dem and the SNP, that would lead to a busted flush of even worse dimensions in the economy and a busted union, the country would then be even more divided than now.

Socialism, Liberalism and Nationalism all combined what a deathly outlook IMO.

I would suggest that BJ orchestrated his own downfall by way of his lies.
The **** show that has happened since has been the fault of the Tories themselves.
If Starmer gets in it would be the Tory party’s own fault - it wouldn’t be from clever campaigning.
That and the exasperated electorate feeling that Starmer couldn’t be any worse than the current lot so may as well give him a go.

British democracy quietly died this week - unelected elite are in charge now - ALEX STORY
Removing Boris was very much like peeing down your own trouser leg to keep warm. As you do the deed and the effusion is in full flow, for a split second, you can just about convince yourself that you succeeded in raising the temperature. Then, as your soiled trousers stiffen, the sense of instant gratification gives way to one of eternal shame. That is currently what is being felt by a great many Conservative politicians.
