Half time he was saying how wonderful Spain are. He said England cant live with that, or play that style of football, and that he finds that disappointing because he has been part of England football for so long. Words to that effect anyway. Just didnt seem very relevant to me, I always tend to think of him of a proud Scotsman who would be happy to see us beat, which is fair enough tbh. I might be biased though, dont like him much as a pundit.
Just keep your trap shut until after you've won something. Then think about being the bigger person and still keep your trap shut. Cockney dickhead.
As a biased Englishman I'm not really sure how world class our 'world class players' really are ... ... PSG, etc, never seem to come knocking. Who, in the England squad, is truly world class and has won the biggest trophies? The biggest trophies are the World Cup and the Euros ... ... there are players in Qatar who are truly world class who've won those things, none are English. Daft thing for a minor squad player to shove in people's faces imo.
I think the current offside law is the best version we have had so far, but I don't like this part. You can stand offside until a team mate runs past you. I think you should have to re-establish (behind a defender) first. The whole point of having the offside law in the first place was to prevent goal lagging, and this doesn't do it.
Like quite a few people I've been amused by the 'little teams' going through ... ... reality is just starting to creep in though. Japan have beaten Spain and Germany, no reason they can't beat a couple more like them. The same goes for South Korea, Senegal, etc ... there's a change going on and it's taking a few by surprise.
All this talk about the Japan 'did it cross the line' ****e is getting tedious now. They need to let it go and move on. Japan are through, Germany out. End of.
Hmm, not sure which one to watch tonight. Brazil will be more entertaining but Serbia have to win and should go for it. Think I'll start off with Serbia.
