Morocco should have had a penalty though
    - why didn't that go to VAR?

Has the ref for the final been decided yet?

Agreed but not blaming the ref for that. The assistants these days wait until they are told that it's offside. VAR ruins games

Mbeppe needs to wake up for the final, thought he was poor against us and again tonight, tho he will get an assist for their second goal.

I backed Argentina to win the tournament weeks ago. A few quid on Argentina win/Messi top scorer 28/1. Pulled out France in the sweep at work. I’m looking forward to Sunday… :emoticon-0103-cool:<laugh>

So Argentina v France final on Sunday, it'll be the same as watching the mags against Liverpool and not wanting either of them to win!

Interesting little graphic they just put up for the top scorer with Messi, Mabappe and Giroud all still in with a shout of the boot.

People will bang on about Messi v Mbappe but it genuinely could be. Look at some of the moments they’ve both had in this tournament. Really tough one to call mind. I just hope it’s an absolute classic.

I hope its a great game and VAR and controversy are nowhere near centre stage. Just 2 good sides going at it with a bit of luck. I'll go for France 3-1

Exactly, I was a bit worried last week that I'd booked a day out at Waddesdon Manor without realising that it clashed with the final
I'm looking forward to it now <laugh>

Don’t say that, it’s enjoyable when it doesn’t involve our own <laugh> Nah, you’re right. I hope the few world class players who’ll be on show, really step up.

I'd give France the edge as holders and given Argentinas recent record in finals.

Saying that, I'm keeping my cash firmly in my pocket for this one. <laugh>

Most media articles going on about Mbappe Vs Messi but I don't think Mbappe has been that amazing.

It's Griezmann who impressed me so far, and last night he really saved the French on a number of occasions. He was everywhere and read the game brilliantly.

Absolutely no clue who will win the final though. France have been winning without necessarily being the best team on the pitch. They were lucky in the second half last night. But Argentina won't be as physical as Morocco, and France might enjoy playing against them more.

As I'm living in France, I'm backing France, also because I can then say we lost to the eventual winners

France werent 2 goals better last night. They werent the better side against us. They do have this ability to get the job done. They are a hard team to like for me, even the manager is dour.

Argentina are more of a romantic pick for me. I really hope they do it. It really wont be just Messi and Mbappe. Too many other good players. It is just as much Mac Allister and Griezeman for me. Honestly, I hope Messi turns it on and is the difference. It would be a great way to end what has been a bloody brilliant worls cup on the pitch.
