OK, game over so I'll tell my favourite Ally McCoist story. He's just arrived at Sunderland and we're away at West Ham in a night match. None of the lads wanted to go, after serious trouble the season before, so I hitched down from Mansfield without a ticket. I was outside Upton Park for our coach arriving and asking the players for complimentary tickets. McCoist was only named on the subs bench and stood talking to me in the rain with water dripping off his fringe. He went inside and I was stood, virtually alone, outside the ground about fifteen minutes to kick off. McCoist came back out with two tickets, shook my hand and wished me good luck getting home that night. He didn't have to do that, admired him ever since.

I have a silly dislike of French football. I dont enjoy their style of play anymore. Go back to Platini et al and I loved them. Now it seems very predictable, but bloody effective. Hoping Morocco can shock them, but not the start I was hoping for.
