30 years of my working life in the BOS Plant.
Brian Huggett's dad George was the head pro at Neath after the war. I seem to recall when I was a member of Neath GC in the 70s that Brian may have been Life President.I seem to recall being told that he designed the Course at Neath Golf Club.

Thanks Glam - someone definitely told me that Brian Hugget had designed it: they were obviously wrong!Brian Huggett's dad George was the head pro at Neath after the war. I seem to recall when I was a member of Neath GC in the 70s that Brian may have been Life President.
The course was one of many that James Braid designed.
I recall being part of the team that undertook the External Audit of Port Talbot and the wider Strip Products and Associated Products Groups between 1984 & 1987.I started my working life working at Port Talbot in the 1970s training in engineering before I decided that a life in IT and the bright lights of London was for me.
The number of people employed was around 14,000 then before Monty Finniston started the cuts or as he was known Monty Finsh Them

RIPSinger and songwriter Martin Lee, a member of pop group Brotherhood of Man, has died aged 77.
A statement released by the PA News Agency and posted on the band's Facebook page said Lee died on Sunday from heart failure following a short illness.
Brotherhood of Man were best known for winning the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest with Save Your Kisses for Me.
