Micky was someone who should have been picked up by the Swans years earlier than he was.I’ve just been told that ex-Swan Micky Lenihan has passed away.

Swansea-born, Terry made his debut for the Swans in 1949, and was a key player for the club and played 30 times for Wales and scored the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Hungary in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden.
He was transferred to Spurs for £25,000 in 1956 and was part of the Spurs squad that won the league and cup double in 1961 and the FA Cup again two years later.
His career was ended by a broken leg suffered while playing for Spurs in 1963.

As a Spurs fan for over 60 years this is very sad news. He was part of the Spurs team in my early years of football watching, including the Double, a second FA Cup win and the Cup Winners Cup in 1963.

Yes Blue, very sad news.
I was chatting to an old work colleague who is in his mid 80s now and has been a Spurs season ticket holder for over 70 years. He has some great stories about Terry and Cliff. Also Roy Burgess who was on Cardiff's books as a junior then picked up by Spurs and finished his playing career with the Swans in the 50s.

Worcestershire spin bowler Josh Baker has died aged 20, the club have announced.
Baker made 47 appearances across all formats for Worcestershire since turning professional in 2021, the last being against Durham in the County Championship just last month.
The Pears said they were "devastated" by the loss of a young player who has played two Vitality County Championship matches this season.
A statement read: "Worcestershire County Cricket Club is heartbroken to announce the untimely passing of Josh Baker, who was aged only 20 years old.

Actor Bernard Hill, best known for roles in Titanic and Lord of the Rings, has died aged 79.
He played Captain Edward Smith in the 1997 Oscar-winning film and won 11 Academy Awards throughout his acting career.
Some of those awards came for his performances as King Théoden in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Hill also featured played the character of Yosser Hughes in the iconic drama series Boys from the Blackstuff.
