Andy Hill, Llanell's leading try-scorer in the club’s history, has passed away at the age of 78. The winger played 453 matches over 12 seasons for Llanelli RFC, amassing an incredible 2,604 points — a figure that has only ever been surpassed by Wales and British & Irish Lions fly-half Stephen Jones.

That’s the essence of my comment …..

When Moffat initially wanted/asked Llanelli and Swansea to merge, when the respective representatives met, the Turks said that they would be happy to merge as long as the team played in red, played in Llanelli and were known as the Scarlets ….. as told to me by Mike James and Roger Blyth
