Former Ireland prop and British and Irish Lion player, coach and manager Syd Millar has died aged 89.

Ulster prop Millar played 37 times for Ireland and featured in nine Lions Tests across three tours. RIP Syd <rose>

British actor Tom Wilkinson, known for films like The Full Monty, Shakespeare In Love and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, has died at the age of 75.

Australian journalist John Pilger, who spent most of his professional life in Britain working for publications such as the Daily Mirror, has died at the age of 84.

Pilger, who made his name as a foreign correspondent, reported on some of the 20th century's most important world events, including the Vietnam War and the death of Martin Luther King in the United States.
