    Idiotic post.

This is an open forum where posters are free to air and express their opinions. THAT'S THEIR OPINIONS. If you are unable to accept opinions other than yours then I suggest you either, a) shut up, or b) ply your nonsense elsewhere.

Oh, and I don't " think " I'm better than " you, I know it. How do I know it, well I don't get all hysterical and cry like a baby when someone posts an alternative view to mine.

Grow up, or shut up. <cheers>

At least the people you list can be removed from office. The trashy, unelected, windsor's are superglued into place, and can virtually do whatever they like.

Sporting fixtures cancelled. Lamentable decision by the ass lickers. People being corralled into doing something because others think they can get away with it. Sheep will graze.

I thought that Mono did express his opinion - an opinion to which he is entitled, as you yourself proclaim above …. Yet you call his post ‘idiotic’

Your post seems to confirm and underscore the points that Mono was making.

Anyway, I respect your right to have an opinion, even if I may not always concur.

My position on the Royal Family? I am not an ardent Monarchist.

However, I recognise what she and her parents did during WW2 - they did not scuttle off to the safety of Canada, but stayed in the UK despite the (early) ominous threat of invasion.

My grandparents and parents’ generation recognised that decision and how easy it would have been to run away, so to speak.

Indeed, after the disastrous Edward VIII that could have been the end of the Monarchy - but they brought stability and consistency.

She was thrust into the throne at an early age - she didn’t have the opportunity, like so many of us, to enjoy our youth - there were constraints.

Personally, I would far rather a Monarchy than a Dictatorship.

A President or a PM? In some respects not much difference, as you can vote them out (or they are time barred)

Nelson Mandela was not Royalty - but an internationally renowned and respected figure.

After his death, sporting events were postponed in South Africa as a mark of respect.

I wouldn’t call Zuma or the South African authorities ‘ass lickers’ - I’d call them respectful.

Only my opinion, of course <cheers>

What a pile of horseshit. You can't tolerate that I disagree with you so there you go again slinging arrogant insults from your self inflated ego.

How do I know that you think you know you're "better than me" ?..... it's because you have a history of talking down to everyone. I'm surprised you haven't started calling me "son" yet.

    .
I'm not a republican or royalist as it doesn't get noticed what thier up to or affect my life really.
I respected the queen warts and all for her long duty and service to the country and the revenue it generated for businesses and charities and all the pomp and ceremony that nobody does better !

Now she's gone I wouldn't care if they put Charles and his successors on a good wage as figure head monarch to atract tourism and be an ambassador earning his keep !
The hangers on have plenty stashed to get by or even get jobs !
Freeing up the fortune stashed in Bermuda and other tax havens plus excess property etc for the good of the people in these austeric times, showing they care andnot all front and talk.

Respected the Queen now charles3 will have to earn it.
