A very tough first 6 games:emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0107-sweat Time to see if Pearson can mound some battlers and winners during pre-season. James is a good signing, get King, Douglas and the lad from
Oxford in as well as a new striker and we will be ok.

FIRST 10 ARE HARD that's when we will see where we are at …….
potentially 4 different runs of hard [ on paper ] games, involves 21 match's …… take 21 pts from these and 42 from the remainder and season total is 63 a good start? or a poor start?
I would like to see 70 pts on the board.

I hope it's a season of building confidence in a new look squad and playing attractive football, but the first 10 games are all tough and for different reasons. Blackpool often upset the odds down here against us. I remember in the late 80's early 90's us playing them at home very early in the season, maybe even the opening game, them having 2 players sent off and us still losing 0-1 !

We always seem to play Blackpool first game (when we are in the same league of course) - I remember attending a 'smash and grab' at Bloomfield Road in the pouring rain, when Brooker scored against the run of play - and we should have had our keeper sent off (Gerken??) for making a 'save' outside the box - he only got a yellow!!
All the city fans were along one side of the pitch getting totally soaked. I think it was 2008.
