    Seems Leclerc did 2 racing laps with his seatbelt off. You'd assume the FIA would have something to say about that? Even if it's a Ferrari driver with a Todt as manager.

    I also wondered how he got away with that. Guess punishment was redundant given his retirement. A reprimanded should probably be dished out though.

    How the hell do you stay in your seat under breaking though? That's gotta be a bit scary.

    I remember cars with drum brakes. You had to to stand on them for an emergency stop. Guess Leclerc braced himself against the pedal while braking and likewise the steering wheel.
    I also remember having to do cadence braking in road cars. Something with ABS I can't imagine the younger people know anything about.

    Though the forces under braking are something like 4g. Slightly more than your average MKI Escort. Gotta be pretty scary.:)

    I once had an old Vauxhall Cresta PA. 3 gears on the steering wheel, six cylinders. I could do a standing start in third gear. Your bum left the seat if you needed to stop quick. But quick wasn't quick. You really had to consider your braking distances and plan ahead.
