Sad news.

Always seemed a ‘tidy’ guy on his radio show.

I also recall his guest appearance on High Hopes as the night time DJ ‘Chris Desire’ who turned out to be Margaret John’s son who was put out for adoption.

66 is no age.

New Zealand Rugby has paid tribute to trailblazing former All Blacks lock Andy Haden, who died on Wednesday from cancer at the age of 69.

Haden played 117 games for the All Blacks, including 41 Tests, and captained them eight times.

Best remembered in Wales for his dive out of a line out in December 1978 - I was there.

I was in Cardiff Uni - I remember trudging back to my University flat in Senghenydd House, didn’t go to the pub, totally deflated. Drove home for Xmas the following morning ....
