Id take him on loan for a season. Can’t be worse than Dan James. Bale’s a winner, but I get what you’re saying... just not sure he should be painted as the bad guy cos he won’t go to Spurs for 50k a week because his manager doesn’t like him.
Disagree. If Madrid are gonna cough up 30-40% of his wages, I think he’d definitely do a job for a couple of years. Still a top class player when he wants to be.
The man had a fantastic season at Spurs, scored one spectacular goal in the Spanish cup for Madrid and has hardly played any club football for two years. Nobody should be paying a transfer fee and big wages for him.
Defo wouldn’t want to pay a fee for him but he’s a class act on the pitch so I’d be happy to loan if we didn’t sign our priority tagets... there’s no way he’s just forgotten where the net is while spending so much time on the golf course.
Honestly don't remember. Was it as bad as the Liverpool/Spurs one? Forget that, it simply couldn't have been
Was a cracking goal mate, power, pace and a good finish. I do remember an overhead now you mention it but i always think of them as 50% class 50% pure luck.
The only one to my memory that your theory applies to is the one Rooney shinned against City...that Bale one was exactly as was meant...it’s just another way of taking a shot at goal so I don’t really think as a rule that way of executing the shot should be classed as a 50/50 by default as though to suggest it’s more luck than say a 25 yard piledriver.
Not quite appreciated like his stats suggests he should be probably because he’s an ugly **** tbh no lie
