    Superb 100 from Buttler.
Showing he can curb his instincts to play a long test match innings.
Long may that continue from him.

    Well played Jos Buttler.

Runs required under 300 now. It would be good to get to the close with these two still together.

New ball did for us. Great innings from Buttler, Stokes curbed his instincts and made a good half century but India too good for us and only a matter of time...

It would be nice if we could hang on for a bit tomorrow and get 353 for the highest innings score of the match. I doubt we will though. Remarkable that a test, especially one so one sided, gets into a fifth day.

Root wins the toss again (that's 4 out of 4 in this series) and England will bat. Could prove to be a good toss to win, but we will have to bat well this morning. Cook and Jennings both playing for their places.

I am wondering why the Test schedule didn’t include a match starting last Saturday so there would probably have been play on Bank Holiday Monday, when a lot more people could have watched on telly. But then again, the people who schedule these things are beyond logic.

Here’s hoping for an exciting game.

Jennings LBW for 0, not playing a shot with the ball hitting the top of middle stump. Afraid he's not good enough.

Now Root given not out to a ball that was hitting leg stump, but the the review shows that Bumrah had over-stepped.

    England struggling.

    36-4!

Any chance Stokes and Buttler can play like they did at Trent Bridge?

Well, my theory is that India are a much better team than England but came into the series woefully underprepared for the conditions. Now they have had some practice their superiority is shining through.

Plus if you have people playing shots, or not playing shots, like Jennings, you are screwed.

England's batting is so brittle now, too many players getting out to poor shots. India just have to keep bowling as they are and they'll take the series...

This series is now panning out the way I expected.
India are No1 in the world and are now showing why.
As Stan says, they were seriously unprepared at the start of the series, but I fully expect them to take it to a decider and probably win 3-2.

They've got to bat properly first. Apart from Kohli, their batting line-up has looked as flaky as England's when the ball swings. I've been impressed with their seam bowlers today and in the last Test, though. They're all quicker than ours and have got as much swing in helpful conditions as our lot have. This Test could still go either way if we can keep them to 300 or less.

Again the lower order got us out of the mire, I like the look of young curran showing how the upper order how easily it’s done, he could bat a lot higher up.

England chipping away at India's batting, leaving them 181 for 5 at tea. Still on for England if they can keep them to less than 300.
