**** knows why. The main thing is that you ridiculed me and I was proved to be right. Ah well...............whatever.
I ridiculed your statement that India were 'almost certain to win', which I thought was a daft thing to say in the context of the overnight position. The fact that India are now in a very strong position after England have batted poorly doesn't make it any less daft in that context.
It makes it 100% correct. Although I don't deny that it could get interesting if the tail can somehow add another 100!!
From someone who decided that England were favourites to win against the best test team in the World, with the scores virtually level and England 9-1. I said what I did about the tail getting us to a score because there's nothing I'd like more than for England to pull a shock win off. Off for bad light!! Blimey.......it's 29 degrees and sunny here!!
If there's an odds-on favourite in a horse race that you don't fancy and it goes on to get beaten, it doesn't mean that it wasn't favourite, does it?
Oh Strolls..............what a nightmare you must be to live with. Have you ever been wrong about anything.....................ever? Don't bother to reply mate.............life's too short. Enjoy the cricket.
How's stat?! please log in to view this image Andrew Samson BBC Test Match Special statistician India's highest successful run chase in England was also their first win here, when they chased 174 to win at The Oval in 1971.
Great ebb and flow to this game...... Well played young Curran, All out 180 setting India 194 to win.... Still a wonderfully balanced test.....
