Yeah I saw the photo's on the thread that brb deleted.
Didn't bother looking properly because I assumed they were of HIAG so ignored the original post.
Surprised HIAG stayed around tbh because if that happened to me I'd be done with this board straight away.

I may do one, yet.

I hate bullies, and have stood up to them all my life. That is why I am still here. I want the decent people on this board to get the full picture, and to fully understand the implications, and for a few of the chuckle gang (those that that chuckled but aren't really nasty bastards, they were in it for a bit of "fun") to feel ashamed.

It usually takes time for the reasonable folk to mull things over and express their outrage. For that to happen, we need a full and proper purging of the facts.

Slowly, but surely, it is happening, and your comment probably expresses exactly what a lot of people on this site feel and believe.

The fact of the matter is that the people who went digging around in my dustbins found nothing of any real note, and anything they did discover (outside of the obvious bollocks that I spouted on this board, which was clear and obvious hyperbole) would have found nothing more than a picture of a family man whose loves his kids, is educated and living a fairly comfortable life, engaging in his passions. So, they found a photo of me wearing a kids Halloween witches hat with fake hair on it, which I put on for a joke to make my (then) 5 year old laugh, and a photo of my wife wearing a "mugger with big ears" mask, again, taken to amuse our son.

Wow! Congratulations. You must all feel so very proud of yourselves.

My concern is that this having set a precedent, someone gets hold of personal information on someone extremely vulnerable, or someone who really did have something very personal to them that they wished to hide.

Think of something that you have dear to your heart that you share only with a few loved ones, and imagine someone like Skiddy getting his hands on that information and arranging it so that it can be plastered all over this board for people to laugh and sneer at.

How would that make you feel?

In some ways the sharing was just the boil being lanced, it was the ITK crowing and baiting that was unforgivable.

Point it, it was his data, not Gingers. It's down to where you draw the line for banter. This goes the wrong side for me. As for hiag belittling anyone, it was knockabout humour. You are way too smart to have believed it was a balanced picture of his life and if it was presented in that way you'd have a point. But it was all done in fun and I am astonished that clever people never accepted it in that spirit. We all rip the piss out of each other, it's why we come here, I've never seen HIAG go beyond that into nastiness. I know that's a subjective view that others may disagree with, but it's my genuine opinion.
