Ainsworth has always said he wouldn't stand in the way of players bettering themselves so I guess this is another example of that wish him well he has been a good servant to our club still gutted to see him leave though

Any news on this one?

I had forgotten Luke came from Non-League, & was still only 23, & had only played 119 games for us. I hope Sunderland is better run now than before. Good luck Luke.

He deserves his chance and the likelyhood is that they will be in the Championship next season.
I sincerely hope it works out for him. He is the kind of player that you cant help but warm to.
Whether the fee of circa £380k is good or not, is a matter of debate. To the club, it is the opportunity to keep our status and finances in order for at least another 12 months. That can take a lot of pressure away and sway ones thinking when deciding if the fee is appropriate.
My concern now is where do we find another all action / energy midfielder with goals in him. Luke did it all, the tackling, plus the scoring. He was unusual in that aspect. Hard boots to fill!

Gareth: “As soon as we knew we were losing Luke O’Nien to Sunderland, Bryn was top of the list of players we wanted to bring in to fill that position, so I’m delighted to get this deal over the line because there were a number of other clubs trying to sign him."

Gareth: “Bryn comes highly recommended from our captain @Adam_EL_ABD, who was a team-mate of his at Shrewsbury, and we’re looking forward to seeing him in the light and dark blue shirt and seeing how he can help us over the next five months.”

Will he be allowed to play against the Shrews?

I wonder why these players (from the same league as us) aren't able to get a place in the parent first team.
