Aussie ref interpretating everything South Africa's way. Southern hemisphere bias it seems.
England edge ahead and their backs are coming into it now.
    Playing better.

Thanks to another borderline decision from the Aussie SA take the lead.
England have been the better side 2nd half.

Amazingly the Aussie ref helps us out right at the death.
    Fantastic win for England.

Good game. Gritty performance by England. Farrell ran things close in that last hit. SA missing Faf de Clerk, but plenty of promise from England's new boys. All Blacks will be more clinical next week

Poor first half and a better second half. Tough win, shame we couldn't score a try from any of our breakaways.

Nervous finish and Farrell wins it with a crunching hit at the death. SA edged first half but we came back well in the 2nd. Considering our injury list a good win to start the Autumn series. All Blacks next might be a bit tougher...

True about England's injuries. England's defence was good throughout. Discipline was better. Ford looks too light to play Southern Hem and too easily held up. Nearly cost us. Good to have a game that bloods new players, we'll need strength in depth in the 12 months to the World Cup

Agreed. Only chance we have is fast ball to our impressive backs imo.

You would of had a fit seeing all those middle aged white people enjoing themselves, Bracknell.
Best avoided by yourself I reckon :)

I love it from a marketing angle. We should rename football friendlies as “Autumn Internationals” and no one will moan again.

Isn’t that what this ‘International football league’ thing is in football ?
Or am I missing something and it’s all of vital importance ?

Well it is a league/cup of sorts as opposed to random games which have no bearing on anything but made important by Sky.

Agreed. Hence my comment about the Aussie ref helping us out.
He gave SA everything up till then mind. Although the TMO did agree with the ref that it was a collision and that Farrell did try to wrap his arm around. The SA player did dip at the crucial moment. I'd have been shouting for a penalty had it been the other way around mind you.
That doesn't mean the kick would have been successful of course. Plus, it wouldn't have detracted from the fact that England were by far the better side 2nd half.

If you knew anything about international rugby tests you'd know that they are never a friendly.

Course they aren’t. They’re tests, which is different.
