Because he's 19. SAF didn't trust Scholes to play as a CM week in week out until he was 21 FFS.

As good as Rashford is, he is still too young for the pressure of being the club's only striker particularly with Martial struggling for form last season. He's bound to have some barren patches this season, and the last thing you want is all the pressure and focus being on a young lad and why he isn't scoring.

He played 53 games last season, more than Zlatan. No reason he won't play a similar number this season, but not as the only striker in our squad.

There is something illogical about the Matic situation.

Chelsea replaces Matic with Bakayoko because they think the latter is better. They paid £38m-£40m for the privilege. So now for them Matic is surplus to requirements. Yet they want £50m for him.

A player inferior to a £40m one costing £50m? So why didn't United bid for Bakayoko in the first place? And why would United pay £50m? Just does not make any sense unless Chelsea do not want to sell to United. They are already calling it a Lukaku tax. £15m on top of his true value. So juventus will get him if they bid £35m.

We can forget about Dier. Spurs won't pay him the going rate yet will not sell him. That's why we have players forcing the issue and say they no longer want to play for the team.

I hope we can forget about Deir, he would need too much work to be of use straight away, we have U23 players that deserve that work more.
Matic would be (maybe) an upgrade on Fellaini but I have my doubts about that even.
 
Just read an article on MUFC web page saying Wilson is almost back to full training. I would love this lad to be given a chance this season, he is the most clinical finisher at the club and (injury permitting) faster than Rashford.
I am of the opinion that, given the chance, he would become a first team player within months.

Unconvinced by Wilson - he has the same attitude problems which brought down Januzaj and Macheda. I think he'll be off on loan until he gets his head down and starts training properly again.
