So, to summarise, we are buying every player with a twitter account.

 

And also none of them.

 

Any link to our club guarantees millions of clicks/shares/retweets, so every man and his dog is rumoured to be coming to us... I hate transfer windows

What I love about the transfer window is if we sign a player he's either overrated or past it. When the media link us to 100 players a season and they stay or move to another club they have instantly rejected us. I do think some fans do truly believe we made offers on 100 players

 

I think the papers imagine that there is a box of brand-new football superstars that gets opened each year. They forget that every single player on the planet, if they are not attached to a club's academy, then they will have played for different clubs in their career. Not even the greats were always great - players develop throughout their career - some continue to improve, the majority peak then decline to mediocre. The key in any transfer is not to judge the player by what club they might be playing for at present but to judge their overall talent and try to pick the player on the up, rather than those on the way down. Every club has to get it's new players from somewhere - except the RS who are getting told to f**k off by everyone except championship players

 

So according to twitter united are buying Rodriguez, Lindelof, Lukaku, Fabinho and Bale
