Di Resta will have been disappointed not to have beaten Vettel considering he has done this at junior level..........


I had to do a double take when I looked at the beeb sport site to see 'Di Resta out in Q1'. I thought my computer had accidentally gone to a cached page from 5 years ago!

Mercedes have turned up finally so what will happen next is anyones guess

Id like to know how lewis thinks they can rebalance 4 tyres which are in warmers right now in 5 minutes.

If mercedes can do that they are amazing.

Well thats going to make it a hard rave for hamilton.

 

Alonso 8th an Vandoorne 9th... shows what a good chassis they really have.

 

I would've too, shame we didn't change our minds before FP3 showed what was what.

 

Vettels turn to try and break the p1 curse here. All looks to be in his favour but it's a fair run to the first corner.

 

Massa > Stroll > Di Resta > Vettel > Raikkonen

 

Di Resta pretty impressive given he hasn't driven a car for 3 and a half years then gets dumped in for qualifying.

Wonder how well Williams would be doing if they'd succeeded in running that Button-Bottas line up they wanted. I feel like a poor driver line up is letting down that car.

 

I don't think this years Williams is an improvement over last year. They have been back in decline since the end of 2014, so can't see any other driver combination making that much of a difference. They'd still be midfield, just possibly closer to FI?

 

I think they wrote this year off a while ago , they SEEM to be building for the future , hope it works .

I would say goodbye to Massa for a start and have OCON in . Still not sure about Stroll .

 

not so much a decline, more the other engine manufacturers have caught up and they have possibly the worst driver line-up on the grid. I think there's at least half a second left in that Williams.

Stroll isn't ready, but he has the readies, and that's what's important.

 

They'd have a chance at overhauling FI and that's about it realistically i suppose

I think though that if you put Button or Bottas in Strolls car they win in Baku, so that'd have been quite a moment.

 

Go to approx 4 minutes 16 seconds , Paddy basically saying the current drivers are not up to the job ?

As I have said , time to say goodbye to Massa , but one more season for Stroll ?
