if FP1 is anything to go by, very interesting. (I thought I'd posted here that I could see them both being in Q3, but it was the BBC, stick to it though, as long as the PU's hold out.)
Teams will have to watch out not to do a Palmer this weekend, that kerb destroyed his car, a kerb they all love to take the mick with during the race.
I think Palmer has pretty much signed himself off for the season now. Two FP's, two crashes and he had the upgrades. Renault have nothing much to lose by putting someone else in the car, either a development driver or Kubica later on if he has sufficient strength to do a race distance.
Yep, 2 crashes and he wasted his 'lap of the weekend' lap on FP1, roll on wednesday when Renault put an F1 driver in the second seat for the first time in 2 seasons. The McHRT's top 10 both sessions, could double point scoring be on the cards here? Hungary isn't too demanding on the PU, with a short straight so both could last the distance (or am I being ridiculously optimistic?) Gone for Danny, I think it's an RBR track and Max is due a win soon, but looking at the history it doesn't seem to be one a track he likes.
Ricciardo is looking strong. Beware Hamilton if he can get the super soft to work; but if he doesn't, Bottas is already pretty much there. Vettel also a contender if he can keep his head together. Hungaroring rewards a good rhythm though, so he really must avoid over-driving this time. And assuming Ferrari don't intervene, Raikkonen has an outside chance of beating Vettel again.
Yes , Sky have just said the last driver to win the Hungarian GP & go on to world champion in the same season , was MS in 2004 .
yeah, if he'd had one of the practice sessions I think he would've made Q2, no real shock that he was faster than Ericsson, I think if he'd had a slightly different media personna he would still be in F1.
