How does a break ease fixture congestion, then?

it doesn't but they have one in Spain and play the same amount games more of less.

IMO you can see fatigue in barca who try to win everything. Real gave up in league a long time back... and copa del rey... then they were fine for the CL.

I don't think a break par se helps if you are then playing 2 games epr week consistently and maybe 3 games in the week over christmas.

My view is there is probably one too many cups.

Did you read the bit I highlighted?
It seems to suggest that a break somehow addresses the congestion issue.

Play two Premiership games every week where possible, giving opportunity for players to complain of tiredness.

It does say the 5th round cup games will move to midweek and replays will be scrapped. One 'normal' fixture list weekend will be spread across 2 weekends. That's a very small congestion relief.

I reckon we should make the PL eighteen teams by kicking Chelsea and Man Utd out :bandit:

la liga put top 10 clubs into quite a late round of copa and there is only one cup though it is 2 legged ties.

theirs is sequenced to.avoid europe/internationals so players are more looked after.

imo we flog the ****e out of players or don't take some comps seriously

I suspect if we put it up for a vote the rest of the teams would agree.

I'd rather kick Spurs out than Chelsea tbh. More because of the ego of their fans.

Nothing quite as grating as the ego of a team that hasn't actually won anything in decades but thinks they're a big team.

Wouldn't mind Chelsea ****ing off but usually look forward to our games against Man Utd, just not recently with the borefest in charge of them

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has rejected an approach from Jim Ratcliffe - Britain's richest person - to buy the Premier League club. (Mail)
