Can't say I'm unhappy with that. We shouldn't underestimate them (and I doubt that we will), but I believe we're a better side than they and we should win.
Barca were guilty of complacency, imo - and hopefully we will have learned from their lesson.

 

Actually happy with that. Personally hate going away, nervous cautious, failing to score then sitting with that horrible feeling for 90 minutes at home waiting for the **** up.

Blitz them in first half ... if we can do it to city we can do it to anyone...if they score fine then there's no caution away to them we go to win.

We shouldn't underestimate them.

They'll be confident having knocked out Barca and being Italian they can either be really tough to beat or roll over.

That's the best draw that we could hope for. With the exception of the home leg first. Avoiding both heavyweights. We can beat anyone on our day so I'd rather play either of the others in a one off game. If we can't beat Roma over two legs, we don't deserve to be in a final. (Obviously )

 

i'm not saying we won't but Roma are much better than City defensively.

 

As Barca found out, it's not a given that they'll concede, especially at home. If we are to win this tie, it has to be done at home imo.

 

We need to basically do what we did to City.

The pressure will be on us to win well.

Its a tricky tie.

 

just want us to perform then see what it gets us . The only disappointment would be if we don't and we go out with a damp squib of a performance.

 

Every team that qualifies for the semi -final is strong. There are no favourite, game planning and luck.

And weaker going forward. Away CL results aren't outstanding goal scoring wise or defending even against weaker than us.

Anything can happen of course and when we have an ordinary night it's appalling.

For me, still worried about JK's record in finals for us. We lost 2 finals. Will it be third time lucky? Hope so.

I'm with Mito on this SF is unreal at this stage of our development under Klopp while still comfortable getting in the top 4 (at the mo).

I really hope our players just enjoy it and play the best football they have in them. If they do I just don't see Roma matching us. If we don't then it'll be down to freezing up a bit. That's not disrespectful to Roma... I think they are pretty much in the same boat as us... 4th in their league, bit of a surprise to be in SF after some great performances.... nothing to lose either...

Let's just pray our best 11 is available for these fixtures.

 

Roma's defence may be better than City's but is ageing, so will struggle with our pace. Barca fell foul to the dreaded complacency that swept across Europe like a refugee crisis this week. We didn't fall for it against City, which is hopeful. Have to agree this is the best draw for a 2-legger.
