Ukraine equalise, but then in the 88th minute Solanke gets a header past the keeper.

U21s win top of their group and unbeaten in 5 games, looked very good. It will be interesting to see if we do a Germany and keep the majority of the squad together as they mature.

The atmosphere at Wembley is crap as usual, the days of the national team playing matches at regional grounds are long gone due to the FA tying themselves to Wembley on a long contract.
The atmosphere at club grounds was always better and generated money for pubs and eateries etc outside of London for a change.

It wouldn't be too ridiculous to say that Immobile could have had a hat trick by now!

What I’ve learnt so far is that a midfield 3 of dier Ox and Lingard doesn’t work. Lingard isn’t a cm.

Stones has become his cocky over confident complacent self again.

Vardys movement is actually very good. Developed into a very good player last few years.

Sterling has looked Bright....and proved that not rolling around like a twat and bouncing up quick with that kind of pace is actually an advantage. ... be a manly man lol

The McNulty Jessey Lingard love in still going strong.

    Phil McNulty

BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Great work all round by England for that goal. Raheem Sterling is proving too much for Italy and Jesse Lingard was razor-sharp to take the free-kick to Jamie Vardy while Italy were getting themselves organised.

Powerful finish by Jamie Vardy but Lingard making his presence felt again after his goal against the Netherlands. He is a player who has game-changing moments and is making a big play for World Cup inclusion."

Nobody for England has ever taken a free kick quickly, what a lad, give him the captaincy and throw in a knighthood while you're at it.

Not disputing that tbf, but it's a friendly and he hasn't exactly set the game alight as McNutly seems to think.

I like him to be fair, he's no world beater or anything obviously but a decent player and certainly in better form than Alli.
