    Dier is dire at CB
Rose hmmm 2nd choice at Spurs & not been convincing when played
Midfield - i know our options are limited but that is suicide PS Alli nearly always plays as deep lying forward rather than MF.

We will be playing 3 at the back clearly but personally think with personnel available to Southgate better option would be 9 at the back.

    1.Pickford
    2.Walker (RWB)
    3.Tarkowski
    4.Maguire
    5.Stones
    6.Young (LWB)
    7.Henderson (eek)
    8.Dier (eek)
    9.Sterling
    10.Kane
    11.Alli / Rashford

    subs Gomez , Rose/Bertrand , Vardy ,Alli/Rashford , Lingard , GK , Cook ,

I agree. We don't help ourselves by developing a set style that players can adapt to.

e.g you mention kane. Well if kane has 18 months in which say 10 international breaks occur thats 10 training camps to integrate into said style.

Yes the style should reflect the majority of players and manager.

The point is as said on talkshite.... if the world cup was tomorrow. would spain, portugal, germany be ready to go. answer yes. would england? answer no. We need the entrie post season pre world cup time just to meet up and figure out of 352 or 442 or 433 is our formation

Who else can play CB though.. one of the young lads?

btw... look at your side and tell me thats not a scratch side that while you might be dead right about form that its never played together these past 2 years. Rose being 2nd choice at LB for one year would even raise an eyebrow in many countries due to role in team.

For me englands full backs, and front 3 pick themselves. Where alli is "accommodated" is difficult as spurs have made him into s no 10 and he is not so england have similarly indulged him.

If southgate wants a back 3 i think he is a bit mad as CB is actually his weakest most inexperienced area and he is packing in more of that. He must not rate any single pairing in a 4.

My view is 433, pack the middle of the park in internationals and if you can't win don't create gaps for others to beat you.

The 343/352 creates massive gaps for wide forwards to cut in and destroy you. Liverpool have done masses of damage to teams trying it against us.

    other CB's Gomez , Dier , Keane , Jones

in your team you basically had 1 CM with 2 AM's who would be AWOL half the team so not sure how you're packing the MF.

As for it being a scratch team well that is pretty much a given considering how many withdraw from each squad

One of the dildo brothers has used West Ham to dodge a tax bill of 700,000, he should be sent to jail and be banned from all football related activity.
But it's West Ham where the club get almost everything for **** all anyway so he probably thought it was acceptable.

David Sullivan: West Ham co-owner 'used club to avoid paying £700,000 tax'

Very true, but it's a sad state of affairs that an individual caught working a couple of days a week and claiming unemployment benefit would be jailed for benefitting by a miniscule amount compared to Sullivan.

Well it did i will admit but its cos england have ****e midfielders :(

I have said alli has been indulged by spurs a lot.. another pogba that lad.

Add i agree it is for the exact reasons i've said consistently. pub organisation and no consistency. I totally agree. they should be together for 18months and committed to the project. if not the next guy will be.

If i was an international manager and had a guy who vanishes for half the training time i'd just not pick him. My rule would be club says no play.. fine i don't give a crap about the friendlies you are here for training camp end of.

Yeah, would think it is, there's bungs and skullduggery galore involving West Ham since they got the nod from Boris for the freebie stadium.

Doesn't matter who we play or in what formation, we're still ****! Bang average but over rated players forced into formations they're not suited to and under a style none of them play with players who barely know each other.

Until the country wakes up and realises that our problems run so much deeper than the manager/squad then we're destined to fail.

The entire system down to grassroots needs an overhaul including mentality.

Have you seen the video of Skertel collapsing and swallowing his tongue, it is horrible. Luckily a teammate pulled his tongue back and after he went off for the Slovakia doctor to check him over he returned and played another 45 minutes. It was a crappy friendly against Thailand why not just keep him off as a precaution.

I read about it earlier. He was portrayed as some sort of hard man warrior. ****ing stupid if you ask me.

Also, it's a Fifa ruling that anyone that goes unconscious / gets knocked out must leave the game

I know the FA changed the rules on head injuries by saying the player cannot continue in the match but I don't think Fifa has got past the 'it's up to the medics on hand to decide' stage yet.

Since I wrote that last comment I've been looking for anything from Fifa about it and not found anything yet. For such a serious issue it's more than an shambles that it's still drifting along with no definitive international ruling.

FIFA will wait until a player dies then take action, and impose a massive fine on the country involved which will be shared out by the main committee among themselves.
