    International "friendlies" are never useless. International managers have two weeks and two games every few months to get a team working together often with many different players due to cry offs and real injuries.
    With less than 3 months to the WC these are among the most important games which is why you don't see many other supporters whinging around the world.

    I thought it was the lack of Englishmen in the PL that was the problem?

    How come our league setup doesn't effect the French, Spanish, German, Brazilian etc players that ply their trade on these shores?

    Portugal team. Euro champs.
    France. The names rolling off the teams sheet... mutidi, Mbappe, Kante, pogba, Griezmann, etc etc
    German team... **** me.
    Spain.. wow
    Belgium. Hazard de Bruyne etc etc etc.

    How the **** does anyone think and English team made up actually of the dregs of the prem will do anything.

    International friendlies are essentially being done away with anyway, well in Europe at least, with the introduction of the Nations League.

    mostly they just get to a qf or whatever.

    the thing is.

    england managed by southgate with no gk worth a damn, inexperienced defence, henderson in midfield... like.. theres no system, no settled side, no tactics.

    Disagree with this. Even the early season friendlies and qualifiers England are dull and tedious to watch, doesnt matter when we play its crap.
