So on the plus side City play utd in between the two Champions League games with us and it will likely be that they win that game and they win the league. However we have a game away at Everton at the same time, which isn't ideal.

City then play Tottenham after the 2nd leg, so they could have won the league and been tired out from the Champions League, so Tottenham have a big chance to win that game.

He's a rat, the lemmings that support the club he now manages pay good money to attend games and yet here's the "little man" who gets millions of quid for boring them to **** and getting them knocked out of the CL banging on about his previous CL wins at other clubs, about City and about Sanchez being a legacy to them if he should leave.
He also reckons the owners and Woodward are on the same page as him as far as spunking more mega-millions in the summer.
Their club is going to the dogs......thank ****.:emoticon-0100-smile

City are under no league pressure. They could send out U23’s for most of the remaining games

    Tough draw but doable.

Would have been nice to get the away leg first but then again if that went badly then we'd be doomed.

Must get a two goal lead from the first leg and score in the second.

I've just split the season into two halves.

    First 19 games as follows:
    City W18 D1 L0 Gf 60 Ga 12 GD 58 Pts 55
    LFC W9 D8 L2 Gf 41 Ga 23 GD 18 Pts 35

Second half of the season (so far)
    City W8 D2 L1 Gf 25 Ga 8 GD 17 Pts 26
    LFC W8 D1 L2 Gf 27 Ga 11 GD 16 Pts 25

The obvious thing to take from this, is that we have maintain a level of consistency, where as City have tailed off (somewhat). Now both teams haven't played the same opposition in the second half of the season, so it's a slightly biased statistical comparison. That said, were much closer to city performance since Chrimbo.
I'm putting this down to City fatigue (and maybe injuries).

This gives me much more confidence of our chances against them. Still 55 : 45% in Cities favour, but I wouldn't be surprised if the score was 4:3 at the end of the tie. Not sure who to, but my heart says the reds.

Ideally Bayern and Barcelona so we beat the champions of Portugal, England, Germany, and Spain

The first half season dominance is such that it is like being ahead 4-0 at half time during a match. It is quite understandable that they lift their foot off the accelerator. So the assessment of their recent form must be done with caution. They really don’t need to burst their guts when they are so far in front. City must be favourites . In fact I see some bookies make them favourites for the CL itself. Must tell you that most neutrals must think City will go through. We must stay in the tie and then have a chance to spring a surprise at the Etihad.

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, 26, brought out a birthday cake for someone celebrating their 40th birthday after being asked by staff while out for a meal in the same restaurant. (Mail)

Or just resting because they are so far ahead it is ridiculous.
That side had a blip against us, they will not have a 10mins like that again. However we have hopefully learnt as well. Personally i see the games being very tight but i think realistically City will have too much. Our best chance against city would have been in the final in a one legged affair. Over too legs the better quality team usually triumphs, not always but usually.

Holy ****. There is another 6 minutes of moureens rant to be aired!
Can't wait to watch that. Perhaps he's going to say Bobby Charlton was over rated, Matt Busby was **** and Fregie should have been sacked after 2 years of winning nothing. Looking forward to watching that! <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

    Yes. Hope reverse jinx ;)

But you are right. That was an interval of madness which we capitalised on. I think we could have had any other draw, better than this. A Barcelona tie would have been better as it would have been more glamorous. Also we could have had that element of surprise against a not so good defence. Messi has to save them against Chelsea who hit theWoodwork 4 times.

City is too familiar with us and vice versa.

I don't mind this Citeh draw at all. This is the QF of the European cup and the remaining teams are full of quality. I wanted us to avoid
Barca and Bayern ideally, which we have. We know all about Citeh's strengths, but they will be fearing us as much as we fear them.
That 15 minute spell at Anfield ripped them to pieces, they were all over the place. Second leg at Anfield would have been preferable
but we are more than capable of scoring at the Etihad. Bring 'em on

Of course we have a chance. we could have had a better draw as far as ourselves or City are concerned. But we have to get on with it. Barcelona and Bayern whilst very good are not as good as City. Ironically I think they would not have relished these teams as much as we would have.
