comparing Ferguson's utd to this.... in that era utd knew the value of the away goal and frankly you'd be watching hoping the ****s would lose but they'd grab an away goal and the tie would be over.

mourinho treated seville more negatively than chelsea treated barca last night. i think they have missed a trick here cos seville are nothing special.

 

Apparently "Utd earned a credible draw" according to the beeb, but they surely should have tried to win, they looked more of a threat when Rashford came on yet he's lost his place to Sanchez who was hooked off after a ****e performance.

 

Weren’t we 3-0 up away from home against them before throwing it away only a few months ago? They were terrible, how united didn’t even manage to be a treat going forward is pretty bad.

The leganes keeper got booked for diving against Madrid.

Player slid across him as he cleared it, didn’t touch him blocked the ball out for a goal kick. Keeper fell about holding his foot but was no contact.

Ref booked him, but the keeper put the ball down for a free kick in the box. How the hell does that happen? Surely it’s an indirect free kick to Madrid inside he box for the dive no?

 

Watching roma v shaktar highlight s. First time really seen Allison. Couple very good saves so far, one very good close range reaction save.

Forat goal he slipped which didnt help. No real chance with the free kick either. Was brilliantly taken.

 

It may have been Matth. I seem to remember him making lots of those type comments and finishing the sentence with "and you can quote me on that".

when the draw was made i was happy for LFC. I thought utd got a piss easy draw... spurs hard and cheslea impossible

As we stand

LFC pissed through to next round.
Spurs have a good position but have not got it decided. It did look like spurs coudl run the legs off juve at wembley though.. so on balance have to be favs
Utd get a no away goals draw away so should piss through but are open to a silly mistake costing them. Should be easy though.
Cheslea have a mountain to climb and prob need to score first at barca

We get a very small advantage in being able to rest 3 players for this next round while our direct rivals have to go for it.

I just think utd should have killed the tie off last night but held back. I think they have the team to piss through seville in second leg.
