I heard his interview on 5 Live tonight, he said something along the lines of "I have realised what I need to do but can't say what because I would get in trouble (this is more or less verbatim), I can only say that i need to get forward more and score more goals".
Sounded like he was admitting he wasn't really pushing himself or even trying.

Oxlade has his head screwed on (in interviews anyway). Loved how he stood up for coutinho the other week

TLL, Arsenal is a great place for young players to go and get game time, unfortunately that means little if they are never expected to push on.
    MITO, this is exactly it.

Fair enough like the level Vardy hit for a while you mean?

Possibly yeah, never would have been as good as Owen but probably should have done better than he has. Rumours it's between us and Everton to sign him this window, would happily take him tbh though potential relegation might put us off.

I think Wenger has created an environment where that's tolerated too.

Wouldn't happen under a Klopp Fergie etc.

I don't rate Owen very highly but he used his pace and finishing to great effect. Was ****ed after the injuries.

debateable. He played really well today and made a few good appearances. Still flatters to deceive in general. Same as at Arsenal, he always looked technically gifted and he always looked pretty dangerous.

I actually thought he looked pretty good as a wingback for Wenger.

One thing though, he suits your side down to a tee (athleticism, pace, dribbling ability, strength). The only thing he needs to learn is the correct decision making and being a bit more intelligent. If there is a side to get the best out of him it will be under Klopp so it is the right move for him.

Watching Spurs goals. 3 tap ins... 2 of them from mishit shots. Lucky.. maybe. Terrible defending.. absolutely.

Harry Kane is going to get 20 goals a season from a combined total of about 20 yards. Nothing wrong with it, he stands in 6 yard box and just knocks the ball in, brilliant striker at what he does.

If you think Kane only scores tap ins you obviously haven't watched many of their games :emoticon-0100-smile

I'd say 75% of his goals are from less than 12 yards out in centre of goal. Think you've misunderstood my point, guy is brilliant poacher, stands in middle of the box and puts the goals away. If you can get other players to supply him he'll get you 20 of them a season. Absoltely nothing wrong with that if you can set up your team to do that.

I would have said more 60%, he makes an awful lot of his own goals and is deadly accurate with his shooting. He may look like he doesn't move much but he certainly does.

He won the Ballon d'Or!!!! He was one of the most lethal attackers in Europe.

Fair enough to say pace was a big part of his game but loads and loads of players have pace, it doesn't make them as effective as Michael Owen. He could dismantle defences and change games by himself at his peak.
