Klopp took over after 8 games, nowhere near mid season

He did quite well with Brendan's team and got to 2 cup finals, then he spent money to buy his own players and did worse.
Now he has spent more money and nothing has changed on present showings.

 

C'mon. Get real.

The value of the 11 he put out AND retained were far more than Seville spent on theirs. All day any day.

Still meaningless unless their career paths were identical, which is obviously impossible. Like I said earlier - it is, and always will be, entirely subjective.

Klopp should have won the final. So he spent only £5m, is this a great excuse for the defeat? And Mourinho spent £146m and won so his achievement is less than Klopp? You really have some weird logic. Every success and failure is down to money spent?

 

Yep the way Klopp's got us sat adrift at the top of our CL group I doubt we'll even get to play EL this season

 

I read this a lot, but imo our spending is about consistent with our level. We've spent a fair amount of money over the years. The only ones who blow us out of the water are the sugar-daddy clubs, and Man U, who have had more success for 2 decades, and a better run business model than we have had.
We do spend, but it hasn't been quite astute enough. It's hard to get the very best players when you can't quite compete in that end of the transfer market, so you have to be smarter and see the best of the rest. Then you have to keep hold of them because as soon as they start to look good the vultures start circling.
I don't think many fans realise just how difficult it will be for us to get back to the top. We'll need good judgement, and plenty of luck.

Reality check... isn't it. Mourinho would not put up with any of that. He knows what he wants and gets it. No matter how much it costs.

Black and white really, anyone saying he wasn't avoiding paying his taxes is as ridiculous as Mourinho.
