Class finish, but if we actually want to win trophies then we need a main striker than can start more than half our games this season.

His issue is no end product but then in championship you dont have the crock or tbe assassin to pass to.

 

Kent worth keeping, had a good pre-season and we need backup for the pace men.

Perhaps Studge is OK and it's just a knock.

 

I say he'll be on the bench for the CL qualifier.

I know it was only a friendly, but we played well. Sturridge looks as if he will be out for the season.

I was upset that Grujic's goal was cancelled out, mainly because he is the spitting image of one of my nephews, facially, height and build. It would have felt a bit like family scoring, except my nephew was on Everton's books at one stage.

 

This summer would have been the best window to replace him in. If's he's out for most of this season and we dont get CL football again then he'll be difficult to replace

 

Deffo not a knock - he pulled his quad straightening his leg whilst running as he done that chip.

 

Yeah you're probably right and he'll be out a while.

We do... firmino. Studge was never going to be main striker this year.

Reckon Salah and Mane would have gone central before Studge got a look in as well. As we saw in first half when Firm went right and Salah went middle.

Firm, Studge, Origi, ings all for that central role with Mane and Salah being able to cover. Decent options.

 

Think Sturridge needs to go next transfer window. No one will buy him now

No where, he breaks easily enough with no contact ffs, standing on him won't help!

 

Let's wait and see what the ****ing injury is everyone. We simply don't have another forward of his class.

 

I wouldn't expect Ings to play much this season, and Firmino as a main striker works against the big teams like today when he drags defenders with him, but doesn't work against most of the 14 other league sides who stand in front of him asking him to break them down.

 

Regardless of whether it's a couple of weeks or the whole season doesn't matter to me, it shows how fragile he is. What's the point in having a player of his quality when he's that fragile that he can injure himself while scoring.
